floored

i often find myself lying or sitting on the floor next to the sofa rather than in it. i've always liked the floor.this is where i do my thinking, stretched out like a carpet. i like a hard surface and preferably an eggshell white ceiling to look up at. adding to that, a nice wooden floor to gaze at. it has to be my sentimental part playing a role in my floor-lying. this being a more dramatic stance on lying. and why lie and think in a comfortable sofa or bed anyway? that's where you're most likely to fall asleep. so maybe next time i go apartment hunting, i'll be trying out the floors. literally.

above are some stunning and some less stunning buildings. imagine living in one of them. i wonder how that would feel like. i'd probably go crazy in a round room without corners, but as long as there are high ceilings and wooden floors, anything goes.
