Preaching? Here's preaching

My boyfriend is obsessed with skateboarding. Over the course of time this does of course entail my brief but consistent participation in video watching, whether I like it or not. The most boring videos will just have a bowl or ramp and an alright soundtrack....and maybe feature an overabundance of words like "sick", "rad", and "dude". Then it's hard to be even mildly interested. But the best videos will be original and like the one above, The Strongest of the Strange, made by Pontus Alv. Pontus has a cool old-fashioned name that reminds me of a little blond swedish boy with a cap in the prairies. But he is also a great skater and a positively strange guy who used all sorts of medieval equipment and footage to make this one-of-a-kind and personal skatevideo, independent of a skate company that could have easily dulled it up and ruined his vision. According to reliable sources (ie. boyfriend) the skatescene tends to be often homophobic, generic and judgemental. Pontus Alv went against the tide (ok, this is boyfriend speaking again) The best bit about this clip is the hypnotic drone of spoken word by Charles Bukowski, talking about the hypocrites, the uncreative, the preachers, the religious, the warmongers, the preachers, their collective jealousy for individuals, and the power of their hatred. makes you think. SO RAAADDDDD
